Lauren George

Owner / Stylist, est. 2002

EDUCATION: I began my formal beauty education with Gene Juarez-Seattle in 2002, when I was 18 years old. After finishing beauty school, I then completed the Advanced Training Salon with Gene Juarez, studying hair color. I then spent 18 months completing the advanced training, with Gary Manual Salon-Seattle. I have studied with Wella, Davines, Bumble and Bumble, Logics, Aveda, Kevin Murphy, Unite, Heather Chapman, Ashlee Norman, Joseph Dimaggio, Sally Rogerson, and Vidal Sassoon, Hot Heads hair extensions, PONY education, and Brazilian Blowout.

SPECIALTIES AND STRENGTHS: I love taking care of people. My goal is to always make them feel welcome, relaxed, and comfortable. My specialty is catering to the individual. Before doing a major change, I always like to consider one’s suitability, lifestyle, as well as face shape, and natural skin and eye tones. I believe that everyone is beautiful; I want to help enhance what is already there. Color is my JAM! It brings me great pleasure to brighten up, tone down, cover grey, jazz it up, and add some pop! The last decade I have been loving the art of balayage/hair painting, and playing around with the progression. I love how personalized it is to the individual. Balayage can be more natural looking, or straight-up intense, it’s whatever you decide! Come get your balayage on! The last few years I have been super into my new tools of the cezanne smoothing treatment, and extensions- they both can give people hair they thought they’d never have- everyone, including myself, feels warm and fuzzy inside after these big changes! I also have had extensive training in men’s cuts/barbering. I like to help men work with their natural texture and give them the tools they need to achieve a styled, yet natural look.

ABOUT ME: Traveling abroad is living! Going far away, to an exotic land, getting lost, and being spontaneous. Just thinking about it I get goose bumps! Fortunately my husband is also down with the chaos, and able to join me; sharing these experiences with him only makes it better. Now with that said, due to covid and a new member of our family- international travel is only a dream currently. Away from the salon you can find me having with my family, on my peloton, hiking, day dreaming of distant lands, whipping up a meal, or basking in the sun (when we have it). I love a good drama movie I can cry to, new recipe to get inspired by, or listening to an angry hip hop song I can curse profoundly to. I am a Washington native so I think it’s only natural that hiking, camping, boating, and catching rays are some of my favorite pastimes. Every year I make sure to keep up with new hair trends by always continuing my education. I never grow tired of my work, I love meeting new clients, and catching up with my regulars. I am a dedicated stylist, and feel very fortunate to be able to say that I love my work.
