KIRSTEN JOLLY-Stylist, est. 2002
EDUCATION
I have had a passion for hair for as long as I can remember—starting with Barbie haircuts, moving on to (admittedly rough) bangs on my sisters, and eventually styling my friends before school and for every big event. By high school, I was doing hair for school plays and spending weekends coloring and styling for friends. It was clear early on that this was more than just a hobby—it was my path.
Right after graduating from high school, I enrolled at Northwest Hair Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School and quickly learned that I had a natural talent. While there, I had the chance to learn from incredible educators and even earned a spot at the Paul Mitchell Caper training event in Las Vegas, where I trained with industry icons like Angus Mitchell, John Paul DeJoria, Robert Cromeans, Stephanie Kocielski, and Takashi Kitamura.
After graduating cosmetology school, I spent ten years working in a corporate salon, which gave me the strength, discipline, and determination to continue growing my education and expanding my skills. During that time, I became a curly hair specialist, developed expertise in precision cuts for the whole family, and discovered a strong passion for blonding and vivid color transformations. Known by my peers as “the diamond in the rough,” I took a leap in February 2020 (great timing) and became an independent stylist . Since then, I have been building my brand, deepening my roots in the community, and doing what I love every single day.
SPECIALTIES AND STRENGTHS
I pride myself on being a well-rounded stylist who works with all hair types, textures, and styles—for all kinds of people. My goal is to create a space where every client feels safe, seen, and genuinely cared for. When you are in my chair, I want the experience to feel warm, welcoming, and full of trust. There is nothing better than seeing someone leave with a huge smile, feeling confident and like the best version of themselves—whether it is a big curly cut, a sleek pixie or bob, long thick hair brought to life with voluminous layers and movement.
Color is one of my specialties, and I love using it to elevate a client’s look—finding the perfect tone, placement, and technique to match their personality and lifestyle. Whether it’s a soft, dimensional balayage, rich multi-tonal color, grey blending, or bold and vibrant rainbow hues, I aim to bring out the natural beauty that’s already in my chair.
I’m also passionate about men’s grooming and take pride in delivering clean, precise cuts—from classic fades and textured crops to modern, trend-forward styles. Helping men find a look that fits both their aesthetic and daily routine is something I truly enjoy.
Another area close to my heart is formal styling. I absolutely love working with brides and bridal parties to create the perfect wedding day look. There’s something incredibly special about being part of such a meaningful moment and helping someone feel radiant and confident on one of the most important days of their life. No matter the occasion, my goal is always to help clients find a look that not only turns heads but also fits seamlessly into their everyday lives. I’m passionate about educating my clients on hair care routines, products, and styling tips so they can feel empowered and beautiful every single day.
ABOUT ME
As a proud Disney adult, I like to live every day with a little pixie dust, a lot of heart, andjust the right amount of chaos. My chest tattoo sums it up perfectly: “To live would be anawfully big adventure.” And let me tell you—I’m living that adventure in full color(sometimes literally, thanks to vivid hair). Everything I do is for my two incredible daughters. I want them to grow up knowing that with enough heart, hustle, and maybe a little Disney magic, they can accomplish anything.
Being a single mom has taught me more than any textbook ever could—especiallysince I had my first daughter while still in beauty school. I juggled bottles and balayage, and somehow managed to graduate and launch a career I love. Since then, life has been one big, beautiful blend of hard work, hugs, and hair appointments. In my free time, I’m usually making memories with my daughters—whether we’re hopping on a plane to Disneyland (again), going to the movies for popcorn and laughs, or staying home for epic board game battles and cozy quilt-and-video-game nights.
I also have a deep love for music, and yes, you can frequently find me dancing like nobody’s watching while baking cookies or cooking dinner, with my not-so-little sidekicks rolling their eyes and laughing in the background. Life isn’t always perfect, but it sure is magical—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
